Saf-Gard Safety Shoe, celebrating over 40 years in business, develops and implements safety footwear programs for industrial, government, and service organizations.

We are currently looking for a dynamic individual who understands customer service and takes personal satisfaction in making someone's day a little better. This position will be based out of Salt Lake City, UT. As a Hybrid Territory Manager-Route Sales Driver, you will develop and deliver sales presentations and customer solutions for safety footwear programs, provide sales and service support to our customers and maintain/grow business with existing customers while pursuing new accounts. In addition you will operate a 26' box truck, our ShoeMobile. Setting up onsite at customer's locations to assist their employees with their safety shoe purchases.

The position offers great growth potential as it is a newly acquired territory. Once the territory meets a set value, this position will transition fully to a Territory Manager role only.
Responsibilites:
- Build and grow a new territory
- Pursue new accounts via leads and cold calls
- Operate a commercial motor vehicle with all Federal, State and local traffic laws and regulations. CDL licenses NOT required
- Stock inventory on mobile store in accordance with upcoming customer appointments
- Personally, greet customers upon arrival; assist the customer to select an appropriate shoe from customer selection.
- Conclude sale by processing sales receipt and collecting payment if needed
Requirements:
- College degree preferred; sufficient sales experience will be substituted.
- Route Sales Management experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to work effectively with people at all levels of an organization.
- Ability to prospect for new business, make sales presentations, and close sales.
- Demonstrable ability to support customers.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to manage multiple lines of business and maintain detailed records.
- Overnight travel
- Must be able to drive a 26-foot box truck
- Must have a valid, current driver's license; CDL license is NOT required but MUST be able to pass a DOT physical/drug scree
- A background check will be performed for driver's record and personal record
